Precise sanding without compromise – the foundation of perfect polishing

Every flawless polishing job begins long before you apply the first polishing compound.
It starts with sanding – and that’s exactly where the quality of the sanding discs matters most.

These hook-and-loop sanding discs were chosen after years of testing on aluminium wheels, fuel tanks and flat alu panels.
The goal was to find discs that last longer, don’t clog with aluminium and provide even, consistent sanding – without scratches, gouges or rapid grit loss.

The abrasive grain is applied on a fine Velcro backing that holds firmly on the backing pad, doesn’t peel off and stays flexible even during long sanding sessions.
This type is designed specifically for dry sanding – no water, no lubrication needed.

How to work with sanding discs:

Attach the sanding disc to a hook-and-loop backing pad (e.g., a sandwich-type pad).
Choose the correct grit depending on the stage of the renovation:

• P60 – removing oxidation and deeper scratches (first step for wheels)
• P180 – leveling the surface after rough sanding (first step for tanks)
• P320 – basic preparation before fine sanding
• P400 – final smoothing
• P600 – the last stage before polishing

Personal experience:

Over the years I’ve tested dozens of brands and types of sanding discs.
Most of them wouldn’t stay attached, tore easily or lost their cutting ability within minutes.
Aluminium is tricky – soft, sensitive and prone to clogging.
So I needed discs that cut consistently, don’t clog and hold their shape.

This type performed best – when polishing wheels or tanks, they cut my prep time down significantly and reduced disc consumption by over one third.
